What is TideLine Greens?
TideLine Greens, located in Harpswell, Maine, is a bio-intensive, minimal tillage growing operation and agricultural business incubator. The growing operation utilizes environmentally sound production methods to produce a diverse array of healthy, delicious vegetables, fruits and herbs, while continuously improving the biology of the soil. The TideLine business incubator helps to create and grow young food-related businesses by providing expert advice, shared equipment, practical training, and network connections. TideLine Greens is an enterprise of The Propeller Project.
TideLine Greens was founded for three primary reasons; to provide the students of Harpswell Coastal Academy with healthy, nutritious, local food on a daily basis, to provide agricultural education opportunities to area youth, and to increase general access to fresh, healthy produce in Harpswell. Currently, a significant portion of the produce grown by TideLine Greens goes directly to the SchoolHouse Cafe where it is incorporated into over one hundred delicious and nutritious HCA school lunches daily.
